Steve Zades
(Vocals, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar, Songwriter)
If Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn had a kid together you might get a vocalist something remotely like Zades. In his time he has played with many people in many bands never really drifting too far from his first love, “the blues.” A blues keyboardist born-again acoustic guitarist, his music has been described as Bluesy-rock with a twist of funk. He would add "Family Style." Steve@streetlightz.org
The Taylor 814ce and the Sennheiser 865e are his weapons of choice. He likes Elixir strings and a .46 mm pick. Lately made to play on a Korg Triton and a Roland VK-8.
Bill Beck
(Electric Guitar, Songwriter)
Bill was strongly influenced by greats such as Clapton, Walsh, Santana, and Hendrix (which made it a match from heaven when Bill met Steve.) Bill toured the mid west for years opening for people like REO Speed wagon and Head East before he found himself in Florida shaping and influencing the sound of DN4S. You don’t get closer to Hendrix guitar than Beck. Bill@streetlightz.org
His sound is produce by dragging a .46mm Dunlop pick across the strings of his Gibson Les Paul Studio which is connected to a Crybaby connected to the MXR Dynacomp compressor to the Ibanez Tube screamer which goes to a Boss Distortion pedal followed by a line 6 delay, Boss Chorus, and a Boss volume pedal which is all plugged into his 125watt Fender Twin.
Lew Jessup
(Electric Guitar)
As a youngn’ in Jersey, you couldn’t get him away from Stevie Ray, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Herring, Pat Matheny, and Miles Davis. Lew played around the US and three CD’s later is found Lighten it up in Florida. They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. Well let it be said lighting struck and the mold was broken. Lew’s lightning fast fingers and scales from another planet add an unmatchable flavor to the music of DN4S. Lew@streetlightz.org
Lew equipment consists of the Fender American Texas Fat Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan 57 Humbucker & 2 Texas Special single coil pickups. He plays through a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 2/12. But even before that a Dunlop 535q Crybaby, a Line 6 DM4 Distortion Modeler, a Fulltone full/drive II, a Hermida Mosferatu Distortion, a Fulltone Deja Vibe, and a Digitech RP100. For string, nothing other than ghs Boomers .11 - .52. Dunlop USA Nylon .60mm picks for the tender tips of his fingers.
Duane Wright
(Bass)
Duane Wright is a musician who happens to play bass. Trained in classical & Jazz, influenced greatly by Tony Leonardi, a singer & composer, “Eugene” is constantly putting his stamp on anything he touches (he just happens to adore 5-string bass). He is also called “John DuWane” because he’s forever seen onstage with his trusty leather frontier brim. Watch for his dancing too! Duane@streetlightz.org
Duane plays his Fender Jazz 5 String through a Line 6 Pod into his 350 watt Peavey Session Bass amp.
Rob Charest
(Drums)
Influenced by so many different styles of music and drummers from all walks of life, Robert adds a whole new dimension to DN4S. After playing with differant area band Robert was brought home to add the edgy thunderous sound to the ensemble. The funky grooves, varied dynamics, and lots of improvisation puts the music over the top.
Robert beats on a Tama kit colored with Sabian AA, HH, AAX Cymbals.
